The Best Homemade Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 cup cornmeal – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1 tbsp baking powder – 1/2 tsp salt – 1 cup milk – 2 large eggs – 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking dish. This helps the cornbread bake evenly and prevents it from sticking to the pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined and there are no lumps in the mixture.
