The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1 tsp baking soda – 1 tsp salt – 1 cup unsalted butter, softened – 3/4 cup brown sugar – 3/4 cup white sugar – 2 tsp vanilla extract – 2 large eggs – 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper to keep the cookies from sticking and make cleanup easy.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well combined and set aside. This ensures even distribution of leavening in the dough.

In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until combined, being careful not to overmix the dough. This keeps the cookies soft.

Fold in the chocolate chips gently. Make sure the chips are spread throughout the dough so every cookie has lots of chocolatey goodness.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until golden. Cool on wire racks, then enjoy your delicious cookies!
