Old Fashioned Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons) – 1 cup granulated sugar – 5 cups cold water – Lemon slices (for garnish) – Ice cubes

Instructions:

Start by juicing fresh lemons until you have a full cup of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and excess pulp for a smoother drink.

In a small saucepan, mix 1 cup of water with the sugar. Heat gently and stir until sugar dissolves fully to make a simple syrup.

Let the syrup cool to room temperature. This step ensures your lemonade is not cloudy or warm when served.

In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cooled syrup, and the remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to mix thoroughly.

Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more water or sugar as needed to suit your personal preference.

Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice with lemon slices for garnish and enjoy a refreshing glass of classic lemonade!
