Mavericks Sign Brandon Williams

The Dallas Mavericks have signed guard Brandon Williams to a multi-year contract. The team did not disclose the terms, per their usual policy.

Williams, in his second season with the Mavericks, originally signed a Two-Way contract on Dec. 28, 2023, showing steady improvement since.

This season, he is averaging 8.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting career-highs of 51.1% from the field and 37.9% from three.

In the G League, Williams played two games for the Texas Legends, averaging an impressive 30.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists.

Over 72 NBA games, Williams has career averages of 8.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 16.8 minutes, with 18 starts since entering the league.

On March 7, he scored a career-high 31 points vs. Memphis, with five rebounds and six assists, joining elite Mavericks bench player history.

His 31-point game ranks as the third-highest by a Two-Way player, and he scored 10+ points in six straight games in March, tying a personal record.

After going undrafted in 2021, the Los Angeles native began his pro career with Westchester and played college basketball at Arizona.
