– 1 cup milk – 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso – 1 tsp sugar (optional) – 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional) – Ground cinnamon (for garnish)
Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling, stirring gently to avoid scorching the bottom.
Brew a strong cup of coffee or make a shot of espresso using your preferred method like a coffee maker or espresso machine.
Use a frother or whisk to froth the steamed milk until it’s light and foamy, or shake in a jar with a lid for a homemade froth.
Pour the hot coffee into a large mug, filling it halfway to leave room for the milk and foam on top.
Slowly add the steamed milk into the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon, then spoon the froth over the top.
Sweeten with sugar and a dash of vanilla if desired, and sprinkle with cinnamon for extra flavor before serving hot and fresh.
