How To Make Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

– 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour – ¼ cup granulated sugar – 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ tsp) – ½ tsp salt – ½ cup whole milk – ¼ cup water – 3 tbsp unsalted butter – 1 egg – ⅓ cup brown sugar – 1 tbsp ground cinnamon – 2 tbsp softened butter (for filling) – ½ cup powdered sugar – 1 tbsp milk (for glaze) – ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

Start by warming the milk, water, and butter together until the butter melts. Let it cool slightly before adding it to the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

Add in the egg and mix the dough until it forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then let it rise for an hour until doubled in size.

Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread the softened butter evenly, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the entire surface.

Roll the dough tightly and cut into 9 equal rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes until puffy.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked through.

Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a simple glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls and enjoy your delicious homemade cinnamon rolls!
