– 2 cups all-purpose flour – 250g boneless chicken (cut into strips) – 1 onion (sliced) – 1 capsicum (sliced) – 2 tbsp yogurt – 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp red chili powder – ½ tsp turmeric powder – 1 tsp garam masala – Salt to taste – 2 tbsp oil – Green chutney – Sliced onions (for garnish) – Lemon juice
Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Let it rest for 30 minutes to soak in all the flavors.
Heat oil in a pan and cook the marinated chicken until tender and lightly browned. Add sliced onions and capsicum; sauté until they soften.
In another bowl, knead flour with water and salt to make a soft dough. Roll into thin rotis and cook them on a hot tawa till golden brown spots appear.
Spread green chutney on each cooked roti, place chicken mixture in the center, and top with sliced onions and a few drops of lemon juice.
Fold the sides of the roti to form a roll, and wrap the bottom in foil or parchment to hold it together while eating.
Serve the Chicken Kathi Rolls hot with extra green chutney or ketchup on the side. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or as a tasty snack!
