Easy Berry Puff Pastry Tart – Patriotic Dessert

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed) – 1/2 cup cream cheese – 2 tbsp powdered sugar – 1/2 tsp vanilla extract – 1/2 cup strawberries (sliced) – 1/2 cup blueberries – 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Unfold puff pastry on parchment paper and lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges with a knife.

Prick the center of the pastry with a fork to prevent puffing. Brush edges with egg wash for a golden crust, then bake for 15–18 minutes.

Let the pastry cool. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy using a hand mixer or whisk.

Gently press down the center of the baked tart. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly inside the border using a spatula or the back of a spoon.

Arrange strawberries and blueberries in a flag pattern or scatter randomly for a festive red, white, and blue look, pressing lightly into the cream.

Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes before serving. Perfect for July 4th, Memorial Day, or any summer party with a patriotic twist!
